Let me take you into my story. I’m Kris, born and raised in Schijndel, North Brabant (the Netherlands). From a young age, I was always immersed in creativity. In high school, I felt most at home during the creative subjects, such as drawing. Math? I usually ended up filling my notebook with little doodles instead of solving equations.

SintLucas in Boxtel was therefore a natural choice for my further education. Here I had the opportunity to develop my creativity and explore the professional field. During these four inspiring years, I gained valuable experience, partly thanks to two enjoyable internships at Xenox Music & Media and House of Yellow. In 2021, right in the middle of the COVID period, I graduated in Media Design.

After graduating, I decided to take a gap year. During that year, I combined freelancing with reflecting on my next steps. I worked with different clients and discovered how fulfilling it was to bring creative projects to life. Still, I felt the need to challenge myself further and take my creativity to the next level. That ultimately led me to the Visual Design program at Luca School of Arts in Ghent (Belgium).

Although I knew I would miss my family and my dog Truffel in Schijndel, I packed my things and moved to Ghent. This beautiful city now feels like a second home. At Luca, I have already learned a lot, both professionally and personally, and I’ve noticed that my work has grown significantly since then.

My work and creative process are a reflection of who I am: chaotic, colorful, and always searching for structure. I see it as an ‘organized chaos’—a quest for order in an often overwhelming world. You can see this in my designs: vibrant, full of energy, and always with a personal touch. Following rules? That’s something I sometimes struggle with. But by creating my own path, I find solutions that feel right and often fit perfectly.

More about me: I adore my dog Truffel—and actually all dogs! I also have a great passion for traveling and feel grateful that, thanks to my parents, I’ve already been able to explore much of the world. My interest in the art world goes hand in hand with my fascination for mythology, especially Greek mythology. I enjoy visiting museums and exhibitions, where works from the Post-Impressionist period particularly catch my eye. I often see reflections of mythical stories and symbolism in art, which only deepens my fascination for both worlds.

I am always open to new challenges and collaborations.

Feel free to get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you!
