Graphic matters

Graphic Matters is a design agency that annually organizes a creative challenge for students. This year, the assignment was ‘in quotation marks’: choose a quote and translate it into a graphic design.

My result is a hand-drawn poster with a vintage feel, inspired by the song ‘Solitude in Bliss’ by Tame Impala. With the poster, I wanted to convey the feeling of the song: a busy mind full of thoughts, while the world around seems dark and quiet. The head on the poster is based on a silhouette the artist frequently uses, making the design both personal and recognizable.
